Our Mission
After spending a decade trapped in addiction, and the past seven years working on the front lines of addiction treatment across South Africa, Asia, and Europe, I’ve witnessed a painful truth: far too many people who desperately want help simply can’t access it. Not because they’re unwilling. Not because they’re beyond help. But because the system isn’t built for them.
For many, the high cost of inpatient rehab, the demands of work or family, or even just the fear of being judged makes seeking treatment feel overwhelming — or even impossible. And it’s not just the individual who suffers. It’s their partners, their children, their parents, their communities. Recovery isn’t something we go through alone — and when it feels out of reach, it impacts everyone connected to the struggle.
That’s why I created The Wight House Recovery Program. It was born from a simple but urgent need: to make real, professional, life-changing addiction support available to anyone, anywhere. Our program doesn’t just offer information — it offers transformation. And we do it in a way that meets people where they are, without the need to uproot their lives, take time off work, or cross borders in search of healing.
But what truly sets us apart isn’t just our accessibility. It’s our approach. Yes, our program is rooted in proven therapeutic methods. Yes, it’s professionally designed by people with years of experience in the field. But more importantly, it’s human. It’s personal. We don’t just work in addiction — we’ve lived through it. We know what it’s like to feel lost, ashamed, or like change is out of reach. That lived experience runs through every part of what we do.
I’ve come to believe that successful recovery really comes down to two things: the right willingness, and the right help. If you have the willingness — even if it’s just a flicker of hope or a quiet “maybe” — then I promise you, we have the help.
The Wight House Recovery Program is here to guide, support, and walk alongside you — not just to help you stop using, but to help you build a life you’re proud to wake up to.
